Psalmfulness – Frøydis Grorud & Ulf Nilsen (2015)

In November 2015, Frøydis Grorud and Ulf Nilsen released their album called “Psalmfulness”.

Incoorporating eleven well known and beloved melodies from the Church of Norway’s hymnal, the duo created a strong album. Melodies such as “Lead, Kindly Light”, “Be Thou my Vision”, and “Ikke en spurv til jorden”, to name a few, are interpreted in a new way. Classical music, jazz and folk merge seamlessly and beautifully, and breathe new life into a range of hymns they both feel strongly and closely connected to.
